Just Like Me – A Guided Meditation for Cultivating Compassion

YouTube video

“When we gaze over at another in a simple way and see them with the eyes of wisdom, we’re reminded that it’s a bigger and different game than all our ideas.” – Jack Kornfield

Dear ones,

As the cosmos turn into the Northern Hemisphere’s winter solstice and the darker months of the New Year, we are brought closer to our loved ones, partners, family, and friends. In this modern time period of seperation and the enemy du jour, our world is in need more than ever of seeing our compassion and connection, rather than our fear and division. For these reasons, I would like to share with you this wonderful “Just Like Me” Guided Meditation.

Aimed at helping us see past our individual differences in order to rest in the heart of compassion, this “Just Like Me” Guided Meditation is a ‘paired practice,’ so I invite you to ask a receptive partner, family member, friend, etc to enjoy this transformational exercise with you. If you need to do it alone, please feel free to use images of someone, a mirror, or your imagination, which are all very powerful spiritual tools.

May this practice be of benefit to you and those you encounter in this New Year and beyond.

With metta,
Jack
