“If you cannot find the truth right where you are, where else do you expect to find it?” – Zen Master Dogen

What if the greatest treasure wasn’t something to be sought, but uncovered here and now, through the beauty of practice?

In this heartfelt reflection, I want to invite you into the quiet steady richness that lives within each of us—the presence of mindful loving awareness. Over and over, I’ve found that presence itself is the real treasure. It’s not something we have to strive for or chase. It’s a wellspring of love, of freedom, of simplicity that’s already here, already alive in your own heart.

When the world feels overwhelming, when the mind is racing or the heart feels tired from efforting, we can return to this sacred space which can hold it all. This talk is meant as a balm—for the weary, for the striving, for the parts of us that have forgotten how near the treasure truly is.

The treasure is not in the future. It’s not in some faraway mountaintop or spiritual ideal. The treasure is here and now, waiting quietly and tenderly for us to remember.

With metta,
Jack
