“The point isn’t to get to the end of the journey—that’s not what meditation is. Rather, it’s to be right here where you are.” – Jack Kornfield
Dear friends,
As the snow begins to melt in the Northern Hemisphere and we take our first steps into the spring season and nature’s renewal, I felt it would be appropriate and beneficial to share my instructions for walking meditation.
Walking meditation, whether done outside or indoors, is an opportunity for us to step out of the thinking mind and into the flowing rhythm of the body. In a world where we are caught disembodied in our screens and our often spiraling thoughts, walking meditation is a way to bring mindfulness into motion, to ground yourself in the simple act of each step.
In this gentle guide, I share the sacred art of walking with awareness—learning to center yourself, embrace stillness in embodied motion, and find presence in every step. Whether indoors or outdoors, slow or steady, walking meditation invites you to move through the world with clarity and ease.
May this practice be of benefit to you, and all those you meet as you walk along your journey.
With metta,
Jack
