“What you’re serving is love, in all the different ways you can.” – Jack Kornfield
Dear friend,
Part of what brings resilience is not the ideal of how we’re supposed to be, but the fact that love is big enough to hold it all.
Recently, I was speaking with someone who saw themselves as a leader. They were struggling with the expectations of all the people they were trying to serve. I asked them, “How about if you were to see yourself as a servant of love, or as a servant of joy?”
It’s the same for each of us as we make our way through our lives. Sometimes we may get caught up in our busy lives and lose track of our highest intention. But when we stop, take a sacred pause, and tune into our heart, we come back home to who we truly are and remember what we are serving.
What you’re serving is love, in all the different ways you can, caring, and doing what you can in the best way.
In this video above, I share a few stories and this question for us all:
What does the heart ask you to serve?
With metta,
Jack
