Why Take This Course?

This course offers an educational exploration of guided meditation practices used in contemplative traditions to support reflection, presence, and insight.

What makes Interactive Guided Meditation different is its emphasis on presence, responsiveness, and symbolic imagery – approaches that integrate contemplative traditions with contemporary mindfulness research. The course examines how imagery and reflective practices are used within contemplative traditions to support self-inquiry and meaning-making.

This course explores:

  • Examples of guided meditation used to support reflection and perspective
  • Experiential approaches that complement verbal instruction
  • Symbolic imagery as a reflective tool
  • The role of presence and attunement in guided practices
  • Techniques that work across diverse settings and needs

I’ve shared these practices across a wide range of personal and professional contexts, from executives facing major life decisions to individuals navigating illness, loss, and spiritual inquiry. The course highlights how guided meditation practices are intended to meet individuals where they are, supporting reflection and awareness.

This program goes beyond scripted instruction to explore principles of presence, imagery, and responsiveness within contemplative education. When we create the right conditions, we can cultivate a sense of wholeness and integration.

Join me in exploring this rich territory where imagination becomes a doorway to insight and reflection.

As the Buddha said, the true miracle isn’t walking on water—it’s helping another person awaken to their true nature. That’s the miracle these practices offer.

“If you are interested in teaching, guiding, or supporting others, this program explores guided meditation practices within contemplative traditions.”
